Much has been said about the impressive sartorial prowess of the Duchess of Cambridge, and now the royal fashionista has gone a step ahead to ensure that her name can be used only on apparels or other products approved by her official charity.
According to The Telegraph, Kate Middleton has recently applied to the UK’s Intellectual Property Office to trademark her royal title as part of her charitable organization—The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
The 31-year-old mother-to-be applied for the trademark to make sure that only her official charity can use her moniker on the range of goods and services, which they provide for charitable causes.
Currently, the charitable foundation, which was renamed after the royal wedding in April 2011, is engaged in the registration procedure of its new name and logo in various categories and territories of the world where it might be interested to operate in the future.
