Digital Benefit Advisors has launched Digital Benefits Marketplace, a private exchange to help employers of all sizes to control benefits costs.
The exchange, which will be introduced in the coming months in several US states, will offer a comprehensive array of benefits and improve consumer experience.
Bob Gaydos, DBA managing principal at Digital Insurance, will lead the initiative and coordinate the roll out.
Gaydos, who is named as national director of private marketplaces, will work closely with Digital's leadership, carriers and technology solutions to drive adoption.
Digital Insurance executive vice president and chief marketing officer Mike Sullivan said the private marketplace sets the stage for the next evolution in the benefits industry.
"As employers try to control costs and employees assume greater financial responsibility for health insurance, our nation is moving toward a consumer-driven system," Sullivan added.
Digital is currently in discussions with health insurance carriers as well as providers of ancillary and voluntary products to offer health, life, disability, accident, critical illness, long-term care, dental and vision insurance, along with other products and services.
The private exchange is expected to become a true online storefront with a comprehensive range of policies and plans from multiple carriers and provides a call center with licensed customer advocates to guide individuals through the selection process.
