EMS provider Lite-On Technology will merge with Leotek Electronics and five other subsidiaries. Leotek is a wholly-owned subsidiary that makes own-brand LED lighting products, according to the company.
The five other susidiaries to be merged are: Taiwan-based battery maker Lite-On Clean Energy Technology and electronic component maker Li Shin International Enterprise; and China-based IT system and component makers Dongguan G-Com Computer, Dongguan G-Tech Computer and Dongguan G-Pro Computer, Lite-On Technology indicated.
The merger is to integrate operational resources to increase Lite-On Technology's overall efficiency, the company said.
