SOCAR Would Like to Strengthen Partnership Relations Between Azerbaijan and Turkey

According to media report, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) accounted that SOCAR would like to strengthen the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey to a strategic partnership level with an investment volume worth US$17 billion by 2018 by carrying out the projects for the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline project in addition to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. Azerbaijan would make to the largest foreign investor in Turkey. The Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) is a proposed natural gas pipeline from Azerbaijan through Turkey to Europe. If it is constructed, it would transport gas from the second stage of the Shah Deniz gas field. About six billion cubic meters will be delivered to Turkey and the rest to Europe.
