The much anticipated prequel to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the Hobbit (Part 1) will be in our cinemas this November, but until then, the kind toy land elves have brought us all the toys, statues, rings and replicas that our hearts desire!? But how will you celebrate the Unexpected Journey?
If it's action figures you are after, Forbidden Planet is the place to go.? They have a massive range including Thorin, Gandalf, Gollum, Balin and Dwalin,Kili and Fili and, of course, Bilbo.
If role play is more your thing, then you have to go for Bilbo's sword – which not only lights up blue to warn you of those pesky Orcs, but even has motion activated battle sound effects…just plain awesome.
Looking for a keepsake?? Then go for a highly detailed bust of Gollum or Thorin Oakenshield (and be won over by the fact they are both on sale right now).? Or why not break the bank and go for an official WETA collectible?? After all, a prop replica of Bilbo's contract will only set you back $449. Now the prices won't stop me checking out just how cool the props are, but I think I'll stick to my light up sword.
