Taiwanese Feng Hsin has announced to cut its rebar price by NT$200/MT for this week, deeply influencing the rebar market in Taiwan. It is said that some of southern Taiwan's rebar mills wish to set up its rebar base price by NT$17,300/MT, but those mills also worried about they could not win for orders by that price level.
For buyer side, it is said the current reselling price from major stockers have been cut to NT$17,300~17,500/MT; however, the market transaction activity has still remained slow. Some market stockers said the market situation could only have a chance to get clearer after New Year vacation.
