XL Group, an insurance and re-insurance company, has appointed Louise Dennerstahl as head of its International Professional insurance business in the UK.
Dennerstahl previously worked with Zurich Insurance as CEO of the Nordic region.
At XL, Dennerstahl will cover the markets in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America, and report to XL Group Global Professional business CEO Bernard Horovitz.
Commenting on the appointment, Horovitz said that Dennerstahl has seen firsthand how the risks have evolved and has responded with innovative solutions.
"She has a great knowledge of the international market beyond Europe, having successfully led development into the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America in her previous roles," Horovitz added.
"This experience, gained over two decades in the insurance market, combined with her proven talent, positions her ideally to lead our International Professional business."
