Black & Decker: It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas Towson, MD (October 10, 2013) – Black & Decker is launching several new products this fall in time for the upcoming holidays and 2014.
Products include a high-speed cordless Impact Screwdriver; a quieter Blower/Vac that blows or vacuums leaves with 250 mph of force; a new Snakelight with extra runtime and brightness; a Platinum Lithium Ion Drill where performance meets style; and a new reciprocating attachment for the Matrix Quick Connect System.
Also on the way are new entries from Black & Decker units Porter-Cable and Bostitch.
--- Impact Screwdriver provides extra speed and torque for improved performance during screw driving and fastening applications. Most cordless screwdrivers provide 180 revolutions per minute (rpm). With a top speed of 2,200 rpm, the new Impact Screwdriver drives screws, assembles furniture, or other projects with 10X the speed.
--- Blower, Vacuum & Mulcher blows leaves and other yard debris with up to 250 mph of hurricane-like force for quick yard cleanup, and reduces noise up to 50%. The blower quickly converts to a vacuum with a tool-free changing system. The Blower/Vac comes with two disposable leaf bags made of compostable materials, which can be attached directly to the unit.
--- Snakelight Rechargeable Lithium Flashlight with flexible, wrap-around-hose now features bright, energy-efficient LED lights. The Snakelight wraps and adjusts to provide a source of light where needed. It provides 44 lumens of light with 10 LEDs, which consume less energy than conventional incandescent lbulbs. The max initial battery voltage measured without a workload is 4; nominal voltage is 3.6.
--- Platinum Lithium Ion Drill/Driver high-performance drill employs fresh industrial design, lithium ion battery technology, and ergonomics. Sleek design allows user to keep the unit handy, rather than hiding it away. The battery is interchangeable with the 20 V max (18 V nominal) Lithium HandVacs.
--- Reciprocating Saw attachment has been added to the Matrix Quick Connect System as well as to two new storage cases, including a durable canvas bag and 18 x 8 in. plastic hard case organizer. The Matrix is a modular tool system built around changeable attachments to drill, cut, and sand. The new attachment is suited for light demolition, general rough cutting, and pruning branches.
Porter-Cable and Bostitch
The new Bostitch line of professional power tools features corded and 18 V cordless tools specifically engineered for contractors and constant jobsite demands. The new line includes an 18 V Cordless Drill/Driver; 18 V Cordless Impact Driver; 1/2 in. Hammer Drill; 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw; Orbital Jigsaw; Reciprocating Saw; 4-1/2 in. Angle Grinder; and 3/8 in. Corded Drill. The tools were designed for carpenters, remodelers, electricians, plumbers, and HVAC contractors across commercial, residential, and MRO job-sites.
Porter-Cable is expanding its 20 V max Linked System with six new cordless tools, combination kits, and lithium ion batteries added to expand the breadth of the high performance cordless line. The new cordless tools deliver power, performance, and features at reasonable prices.
