According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in August this year Ukraine's crude steel production is expected to increase by 1.1 percent compared to June to 2.760 million mt.
According to Metallurgprom's forecast, in August pig iron output in Ukraine will total 2.530 million mt, up 5.8 percent compared to the June results, while Ukrainian production of rolled steel is expected to total 2.470 million mt, up four percent compared to June.
In July, Ukrainian companies plan to produce 2.710 million mt of crude steel, 2.490 million mt of pig iron and 2.430 million mt of rolled steel.
