The Spanish men's ready-to-wear and made-to-measure tailoring brand sets up its first shop-in-shops in Palacio del Hierro.
Scalpers has crossed the Atlantic courtesy of an exceptional partner: exclusive Mexican department store Palacio del Hierro. Its two lines, 'Casual Preppy' for a more relaxed approach and 'Dandy Style' for special occasions, are already available at two shop-in-shops in the Santa Fe and Villahermosa branches. Scalpers expects to open new spaces in Durango and Polanco and is also looking into the possibility of opening a Scalpers single-brand store in Mexico city, also in partnership with Palacio de Hierro.
Aged wooden finishes, vintage-inspired furnishings and bare brick walls in dark shades add a note of updated elegance to these new spaces.
Scalpers opened its first shop in 2007 and now in Spain it now has 12 boutiques, almost a hundred multi-brand PoS and 11 shop-in-shops in El Corte Inglés department stores.
Scalpers is strongly committed to the European market and operates in Italy, France, Portugal, Scandinavia and Russia. It will make its Dutch entry with its Spring-Summer 2014 collection and in Belgium, where it already has 15 multi-brand sales points, it will be opening a flagship store in Ghent in September.
In Germany, it has struck a deal with Ansons department store to open four shop-in-shops in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Hamburg and Nuremberg after the summer. Its collections are a hit in Asian countries like Japan and Korea, where its slippers and espadrilles are particularly popular.
