During the course of 2011, more extensive investment measures were announced for the first time again within the European laminated-wood industry following a period of quiet investment activity. The regional focus of the announced measures is Central Europe, whereby all such measures are to be implemented during the course of 2012. Most of the planned measures involve extension and modernisation work to increase production capacity for glulam beams, customised products and cross-laminated elements.
