According to a press release by the animal protection group"Animals'Liberty",the organization substantiated the use of a real fur application in a TOM TAILOR product.The real fur is claimed to be cat hair,which could have been processed in Asia.TOM TAILOR takes a stand on the issue as follows:
TOM TAILOR generally prohibits the processing of real fur.The product queried concerns an isolated case,of which TOM TAILOR took notice on 19 December 2013.TOM TAILOR regrets the violation of its internal guidelines and has recalled the product in question immediately from its product range on that very day.
TOM TAILOR is following up with the laboratory test published by Animals'Liberty,according to which the real fur was declared to be cat fur,by means of an own investigation.Until the results of this test are available,TOM TAILOR will not comment on the origin of the fur application.
Furthermore,TOM TAILOR is examining its supply chain for this particular product.TOM TAILOR emphasizes that the Company will do everything in its power to ensure the consistent adherence of legal obligations and internal guidelines.This applies particularly to the processing and import of fur from domestic animals.
