US-based cardboard packaging company Industrial Inspection has bought a Kentwood MRS-151 multi rip saw with an outfeed table and a Kentwood CS-300P push saw from Stiles Machinery to replace its existing six band saws.
According to Stiles, multiple layers of cardboard are laminated or glued together before being cut to size.
The purchase also included two Belfab dust collection units from Stiles and with the new saws, Industrial Inspection's production time was cut from 12 hours to just under an hour.
The Kentwood MRS-151 multi rip saw has been designed to cut cardboard, featuring a spindle speed of 3200 RPM and diameter of 80mm and its working thickness of 10 - 145mm includes an allowable cutting circle of 18".
With a maximum working length of 6,000mm, the CS-300P push saw has a 10 HP saw motor, servo motor feed, and the saw blade has a cutting thickness of 12 - 115mm.
