The duration of the the 17th Shanghai Metallurgy Expo focusing on" Better Steel, Better Life" and the 5th Baosteel Biennial Academic Conference focusing on "New Challenge, New Steel" is 3 days. This a world steel industry pageant for the gathering of advanced technology, the display of high-end products and equipments, the exploration of steel industry technology and managing innovation ideas and the green path of sustainable development. It will stress "New Challenge, New Steel" and also inject innovative force to the steel industry in plight.
This Metallurgy Expo aims at displaying the developing achievements of domestic metallurgical industry and overseas metallurgical technology and equipments, enhancing the exchange, communication, collaboration and friendship between domestic and overseas steel work, achieving close contact between production enterprises and users, striving for shared prosperity and development in international and domestic markets, further promoting the domestic metallurgical industry in a good and fast way. The acreage of the exhibition area is about 40000 square meters, gathering 600 famous steel enterprises and manufacturing enterprises home and aboard, such as Baosteel, Ansteel, Wisco, Shougang and Siemens VAI, SMS Siemag, Danieli, Nippon Steel, etc. The amount of the exhibitors is 20% more than the previous session. This conference has so far had great success for the last four sessions , attracting enthusiastic support from many domestic and overseas experts, scholars and peers, becoming a high-level, interdisciplinary and open academic conference with international influence.
