AnaJet Hosted a Live Webinar Entitled Direct to Garment for Sign and Large Format Printers

AnaJet hosted a live webinar entitled Direct to Garment for Sign and Large Format Printers. The goal of this webinar to highlight just how effective direct to garment printers can be for sign makers and digital printers.  Featured customer Andy Buchholz, owner of Eastern Shore Signs, helped to draw real connections with owners of similar companies.

Generally, the goal for sign makers and digital printers is to offer a broad swath of products and services to their customer base.  These business owners are skilled in digital printing, inkjet printers and working with hundreds, even thousands of substrates.  They’re knowledgeable about the imaging industry, but as Andy related, when it comes to printing up t-shirts and polos, it calls for adjustments to one’s business model.

Webinar PDFThere is a huge potential for commercial printers of all types who venture into direct to garment decoration. No longer will you have to outsource shirts, hats and other printed garments. Take on those orders and capture the margins you should be realizing.  Direct to garment printing is a low-risk, high return investment for sign and large format printing businesses.  Advancements in direct to garment printing technology make it easy to adopt for these types of business environments.

Andy and other sign makers leverage DTG technology to boost their overall business and open the door to even greater opportunities.  Since picking up the mPower mP5 digital apparel printer, Andy grew his overall business by almost 50% overnight and it now brings in about 33% of his top line revenue. Not too long ago Andy actually used the profits from his DTG product lines to purchase the upgraded mP10 printer, and he is now rocking with the i-series upgrades.

In fact business is so strong that he moved from his home-based shop to a rented 1200 sq ft space, where he has ample room for additional equipment – even shopping now for a rotary screen press to handle simple 1 and 2 color jobs in very high volumes.
