Hundreds of Consumers Complaining That The Front-Facing Camera on The iPhone 6

Just when you thought Apple’s newest batch of iPhones had been afflicted by pretty much every ridiculous hardware problem out there, another has just reared its head.

Hundreds of consumers are now complaining that the front-facing camera on the iPhone 6 is prone to misalignment, as demonstrated by the picture above. Some have dubbed the phenomenon "crescentgate".

It appears that the smartphone’s selfie-snapper has shifted slightly in some models, resulting in a grey-coloured crescent shape appearing on the top corner of the phone's face. It’s barely visible, but clearly still a problem.

Whether the issue affects all or just some models of the smartphone is currently unclear.

Apple, however, seems to have picked up on the matter pretty sharply, and is offering immediate replacements to people who have taken their affected handsets to stores, according to consumers who have vented their annoyances online.

This is the latest in a considerable line of issues that have affected Apple's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Almost immediately after they hit the market back in September, consumers discovered that they would either bend significantly under strain, catch and tear out hair, pick up dye from users' jeans, or a combination of the three.

Nevertheless, both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus had enough about them to pick up excellent scores in our reviews.
