API, a manufacturer of foils, laminates and holographics, has introduced a new color to its PG range of pigment hot stamping foils for luxury and premium goods packaging manufacturers.
The new deep red Amaranth shade is considered to be ideal for wine and spirit bottles and also suitable for other hot stamping applications.
API marketing executive Hester McQueen said: "Customers were asking for a richly romantic red to link with the latest color trends, so we developed and launched the graceful, nostalgic Amaranth shade to provide the high impact results their packaging demanded.
"Our PG Foils add real depth of color and opacity when applied."
API said that the new color will act as a 'second skin' while effectively conveying the product's qualities and brand values.
The API's PG range is a premium grade matt pigment hot stamping foil designed for the beauty, cosmetics and drinks industries, among other consumer product applications.
Hester added: "Our PG hot stamping foil is ideal for application, as it lends that extra wow-factor that inks can lack.
"We're delighted with the final result of the Amaranth color, and are confident that its premium deep metallic finish will provide that magic boost to help convince customers to buy the product."
API showcased its sheet-fed cold foils being used by the latest generation of print presses at the Drupa 2016 event held in Germany.
API's foils are designed in a wide variety of shades and grades and the range offers improved versatility to meet the demands of printers and designers across the variety of packaging & label substrates in the market.
