The firm raised $46,000 from an initial goal of $15,000 and will soon be offering its services to budding superheroes everywhere.
You Kick Ass uses an in-house full-color 3D printer to turn scan consumers' heads and put them on a superhero body of their choosing.
After picking a costume and a power, consumers will receive an action figure of themselves along with a comic strip detailing the backstory of their superhero.
