Car rental company Thrifty Car Rental has deployed Novatel Wireless' Mobile Tracking device, the MT 2500 for its fleet of rental vehicles.
The MT 2500 will enable Thrifty Car Rental to manage and protect its fleet of rental vehicles against theft, damage and loss in South Africa.
The device captures and monitors driver behavior, relaying vehicle information on rapid acceleration, harsh braking, speed violations and excessive idling.
It also includes optional battery for communications when power is lost and offers a solution with minimum implementation and operational costs.
The MT 2500 is an internal antenna device that updates the company's previous deployment of external antenna devices as well as provides services on new and leased vehicles.
