(China Glass Network) 30 miles far from the east exit of the Golmud, the solar cells are placed row by row which is the beautiful scenery of the plain dessert. These solar cells belong to the world’s largest PV power station-- The Yellow River Water and Electricity Company Golmud 200MW parallel PV power station. Up to now, this station has realized day-output 1.34575 million KW which creates a new record. The Yellow River Water and Electricity Company Golmud 200MW parallel PV power station leads the world in scale of construction and installed capacity. The whole project covers an area of 5.56 square kilometers. After the completion of the project, the annual output reaches 317 million KWH. The project not only solves the Qinghai’s lack of electricity situation, but also makes a contribution to Qinghai’s economic construction. And it greatly promotes Qinghai’s optimization of industrial structure and development of circular economy. It is expected, by the end of 2012, the installed capacity of power station will reach 0.43 million KW. And till the end of twelfth five-year planning, the annual production of polycrystalline silicon may reach 14500 tons which primarily forms a complete industrial chain from the polycrystalline silicon production, cell and components production to the PV power station.
