Omaha Steel Casings Held a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for a $13.5 Million Production Site

Omaha Steel Castings, along with city and state officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday for a new $13.5 million production site. The gradual move from the company's longtime Omaha, Nebraska-based foundry to nearby Wahoo should be completed by the end of the year.

The company's owner and president Phil Teggart told local press that he hopes to expand employment by about 250 people within six to nine months, thanks to a 30 percent to 40 percent improvement in efficiency at the new plant. Additionally, production is expected to reach $30 million in sales next year after dropping this year during the transition to the new plant.
