International Paint LLC, an AkzoNobel business, has announced the launch of Interfine 1080 in North America; a next generation low volatile organic compounds (VOC) acrylic polysiloxane finish coat that offers high-level performance in a single-pack formulation.
The patented technology was developed to provide a better aesthetic, environmental and cost-saving alternative to traditional two-pack polysiloxane and polyurethane topcoats, according to the company. Interfine 1080 contains no free isocyanates and can be easily brushed or rolled in a variety of on-site and maintenance applications where high-quality cosmetic finishes are required, such as storage tank externals, pipelines, railings, structural steel and miscellaneous commercial infrastructure applications.
