US-based global insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Arthur J Gallagher & Co has acquired Coyle Insurance Agency in Peoria, Illinois, US for an undisclosed sum.
On completion of the transaction, the agency owner Peter Coyle and associates will continue to operate from their current location under the leadership of Thomas J Gallagher, head of Midwest retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
Arthur J Gallagher & Co chairman, president and CEO J Patrick Gallagher, Jr said that the retail insurance agency has developed strong market relationships over the last three decades.
The company's sales-based culture and industry specializations will serve as a complement to its Midwest region, Gallagher, Jr added.
Established in 1984, Coyle provides property/casualty, employee benefits, personal lines and risk management insurance and consulting services to their clients throughout the central US.
Headquartered at Itasca, Arthur operates in 17 geographies and offers client service capabilities, including brokerage and risk management services in over 110 countries around the globe through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
