The trend towards portion-controlled packs and heat-and-eat convenience foods continues with the launch of a new range of 'meal-pots-for-one' from soup and ready-meal maker Pitango.
Following the release of its World Flavour collection of soups earlier this year, the meal pots are designed for lunches on-the-go, ready to pop in the microwave for a total of three minutes.
The packaging was designed by design agency pHd3.
Flavours include Japanese Miso Chicken and Soba Noodles; Spanish Chorizo and Chickpea; and Sri Lankan Chicken Curry with Rice.
Pitango's packaging made news earlier in the year when it launched a range of stand-up pouches, reinvigorating the ready-to-eat fresh soup category.
