Scion, a brand of Toyota Motor, has launched its 2013 FR-S sports car, which will be available at all its dealerships in the US.
The new rear-wheel drive sports car is powered by a 2.0litre boxer engine which generates 200hp output and 151lb-ft of torque, while Torsen limited-slip differential will allocate power to the rear wheels.
According to the company, the sports car will deliver EPA-estimated ratings of about 34 mpg on the highway when mated to an automatic transmission and about 30 mpg with the manual transmission.
The FR-S's dynamically tuned suspension system comprising MacPherson struts up front and a double wishbone system in the rear, will compliment the car's low weight.
Scion said that the four-seated sports car equipped with a six-speed manual transmission will be available at a price of $24,200, while six-speed automatic transmission featuring paddle shifters and Dynamic Rev Management technology equipped car will be on sale at a price of $25,300.
It features 17x7-inch alloy wheels and ventilated disc brakes as standard on all models.
