Mukund Kulkarni Said That The $8 Million Project Was Very Complex in Environmental Project

Luxembourg-based steelmaker ArcelorMittal has announced that its Bosnia and Herzegovina-based subsidiary ArcelorMittal Zenica has reached an important milestone in its ongoing environmental program, with the official start of operations on a major new filter system for its blast furnace.

ArcelorMittal Zenica CEO Mukund Kulkarni said that the $8 million project was very complex and demanding in terms of time frame, technical challenges and investment. He added that the state-of-the-art filter was installed while the factory remained in full operation.

The company is already working on a number of other projects that will continue to improve its environmental footprint.
