Japan’s Tokyo Steel announced that its net profits totaled ¥865 million during April through June, 2013, in comparison of net loss of ¥6.014 billion in the same period of a year ago.
The net profit was contributed by reducing costs and giving weight on profit rate.
In the given period of time, Tokyo Steel realized sales incomes of ¥29.694 billion, slumping by 34.7% year on year. The operating profit was at ¥613 million, in comparison of loss of ¥6.114 billion in the same period of 2012.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Steel’s crude steel output totaled 534,000 tons, decreasing by 40.7% year on year.
