US Rig Count Trend Counterattack But Canadian Trend Hesitate

Baker Hughes reported that for the holiday-shortened week ending November 27, the US rig count increased by two to 1,763, following one-rig decrease the previous week.Additionally, the rig count is still down by 48 from 1,811 rigs during the same week a year ago.The oil rig count increased by four to 1,391 whereas the gas rig count decreased by two to 367.

Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by 17 in the week ending November 22 to reach 385, following a 33-rig decrease the week before. Additionally, the Canadian rig count was down 14 from 399 rigs during the same week a year ago.
