Pedrino Alcoholic Tonic will be made available at select Waitrose stores across the UK.
Pedrino is the creation of lifelong friends Sam Showering and Joseph Knopfler and was inspired by the Spanish fashion of mixing Sherry with tonic water. Combining the sweetness of Pedro Ximénez sherry with the bitterness of quinine, natural citrus and gently sparkling spring water, creates a unique aroma and a refreshingly dry finish. Sam said: "Spain has a largely undiscovered bar culture where Sherry with tonic has long been a favourite. We want to bring this authentic Spanish drinking experience to the British consumer, so we created Pedrino - a Sherry-tonic inspired pre-mix - that's ready to serve over ice."
Following a successful launch in upmarket bars and restaurants, the brand's debut in Waitrose will enable discerning drinkers across the whole of the UK to enjoy Pedrino. Sam said: "Pedrino has been tantalising tastebuds in some of London's most sophisticated bars and restaurants - it offers a more stylish alternative to white wine for those wanting the perfect post-work reviver. Ever since Pedrino hit the scene, people have been asking where they can buy it to drink at home - so we're delighted to say that Pedrino will be sold in Waitrose from November 2nd.
Joe added: "Pedrino is a terrific aperitif idea for the party season. If you're looking for excitement and bar-quality without the hassle, Pedrino looks sumptuous: a pale, rosecoloured fizz in tumblers full of clattering ice, and it's super refreshing, dry, and slightly bitter - to appeal to the more expansive palate of the bar-literate foodie. We think it's destined to become a festive cocktail-hour favourite."
Pedrino is sold in 200ml bottles, has an abv. of 5.5% and is priced at £1.90.
