Marvaco, provider of packaging artwork and prepress, has acquired Kostym Designindustries, a Swedish provider of creative packaging design.
The acquisition of Kostym represents Marvaco's third in Sweden. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Marvaco Group managing director Kai Lankinen said that the acquisition is expected to complement packaging brand and printing business.
Lankinen added: "Our service selection now covers all relevant aspects both in Finland and in Sweden, which means we can better serve our international Nordic clients, in addition to local business."
Kostym managing director Helén Hogberg said that the company had been seeking for packaging pre-press partner for some time.
Hogberg added that Kostym has been developing artwork for consumer goods packaging since 2000 and also launched new products.
Upon completion of the deal, Kostym Designindustries will operate in Sweden as a direct subsidiary of Marvaco. Hogberg will continue as managing director.
In 2015, Marvaco Group has expanded its business in Sweden with the acquisition of FlexoPartner, a manufacture of flexo printing plates and laser engraved sleeves.
