JBT Foodtech Inked a $10m Freezing Solutions

JBT FoodTech, an American food processing machinery provider owned by JBT, has inked a $10m freezing solutions contract with Asia-based food processor.

Under the deal, JBT will supply and integrate new freezing lines, including Frigoscandia GYRoCOMPACT M10, M9, M7 and M6 spiral freezers. The equipment will be used for the production of oven-ready frozen foods in China.

JBT FoodTech vice president and division manager Steve Smith said, "This project is another excellent example of how JBT provides customized freezing solutions tailored to meet our customer's specific end product and regional expansion needs."

The project is scheduled to enter operation in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Earlier this month, the company inked a $4m freezing solutions supply contract with Belgium-based Dicogel-Begro.

JBT designs, manufactures, tests and services technological advanced systems and products for industrial food processing customers through its JBT FoodTech segment and JBT AeroTech segment. It operates in about 25 countries globally.
