Autoglass, Belron's United Kingdom-based auto glass retailer, has reported a 52-percent increase in glass damage from its fleet and lease customers over the last few days, in light of the winter weather the region has experienced.
In the North, the company reports an increase of 34 percent. The South followed closely behind with 33 percent. The East and Central regions saw an increase of 29 percent each, and the West saw an increase of 26 percent. The most dramatic increase was seen in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, with an increase of 350 percent.
"We have been ramping up our resources in preparation for the busy winter period," says Jeremy Rochfort, national sales manager.
