German Water Partnership Will Carry out and Contribute to a Variety of Activities

German Water Partnership, as a partner of Wasser Berlin International (WBI), will carry out and contribute to a variety of activities and events within the framework of the trade fair, the international congresses and the fora on water and waste water; in addition to its joint booth where it presents the German water expertise.

International Forum, 23/04-26/04/2013, hall 3.2

The International Forum will jointly be organised by Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V. (DWA) and German Water Partnership e.V. (GWP). Experts from GWP and its parter organisations give an introduction to the markets of the Arab world, explain the challenges and discuss opportunities of participation for German companies and institutions. The goal is to mutually develop adapted solutions for water management. Participation in the International Forum is free.

Delegation from the USA visits the fair, 23/04/2013

Within the framework of a business delegation s journey, supported by the German Ministry of Economics, a delegation of purchasers from the United States visits the fair in order to gain an overview over the German water expertise. GWP is partner of the business delegation s journey. An information meeting on innovative water technologies and infrastructure by AHK Chicago is followed by a tour of the fair and individual meetings. Visits to selected construction sites complete the Berlin leg of the journey. Individual appointments can only be made after previous notice. 

Water cooperation in Central Asia – possibilities and opportunities for the German industry, 23/04/2013, 14:00–17:00 h, hall 7

The aim is to discuss how in future German companies can be integrated closer in projects of water management. Speakers from the countries involved will present current or future projects from the water sector. The participants will also discuss framework conditions for the commitment of German companies in the region and possible financing instruments.

With ACWUA (Arab Countries Water Utilities Association) as a committed partner of WBI 2013 for the first time the focus will be on the countries of the Middle East. German Water Partnership (GWP) concentrates the competence of the German Water sector and is involved in the region with manifold activities and three regional sections, all in close cooperation with ACWUA.
At the congress GWP, together with ACWUA, presents challenges, interesting projects and possible solutions in the field of sustainable water management especially in arid regions.

GWP informs about the goals, strategies and diverse worldwide activities, cooperations and accomplishments of the internationally operating network, providing the opportunity to get into conversation with the board of directors, the management and GWP members and partners.

Russia Special, 26/04/2013, 09:30–12:00 h, hall 6.3, grand hall

On 26 April 2013, GWP, Messe Berlin GmbH and Ost-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft (Committee on Eastern-European Economic Relations) host an information meeting together with the Russian Water and Wastewater Association (RAWW) within the framework of the fair. Russian and German experts will provide an overview over the current situation and the perspectives of water management in the Russian Federation, discussing possibilities of cooperation with German companies. The emphasis lies on questions relating to technical standards and product certification. On the basis of specific projects experience and potential particularly of SMEs in the field of water supply and waste water disposal will be discussed. The conference is held in German and Russian, simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

With roundabout 20 member companies and institutions GWP is looking forward to welcoming you on its 400 sqm joint booth. GWP is expecting the Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dirk Niebel, during the official tour of the fair at its joint booth.
