Brazil's motor vehicle output in November this year decreased by 10.7 percent from the previous month and by eight percent year on year to 289,633 units (excluding agricultural vehicles), according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). In addition, in the first 11 months this year, Brazil's motor vehicle output increased by 11.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, amounting to 3.6 million units.
According to the report, total new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil amounted to 302,939 units in November this year, decreasing by 2.8 percent year on year and by 8.3 percent compared to the previous month. 19.2 percent of this figure consisted of imported new vehicles.
Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in November this year (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 45,230 units decreasing by 12.7 percent compared to the previous month and up 23.9 percent year on year. In the first 11 months of the year, the country's motor vehicle exports increased by 29.4 percent year on year to 522,997 units.
Meanwhile, in November the revenue generated by motor vehicle exports (excluding agricultural vehicles) rose by 6.7 percent year on year to $1.1 billion, decreasing by 12 percent month on month. In January-November, Brazilian motor vehicle exports totaled $12.8 billion in value, rising by 11.5 percent compared to the first 11 months of the previous year.
