Syassky Pulp and Paper Mill Has Signed a Contract with Italy's Toscotec for The Supply

Russia-based Syassky Pulp and Paper Mill has signed a contract with Italy’s Toscotec for the supply of a new tissue line at its mill in Syasstroy, in the Leningrad region of Russia.

The new equipment will help in producing higher quality tissue products and will replace the existing PM3 after its dismantling.

The Syassky mill is the only integrated tissue producer in the region to have in line pulp mill, tissue production (PM2, PM3 and PM5) and converting and packaging facilities.

The tissue line will be brought into use in the first half of 2016. The mill is investing in the equipment to better expand its growing market in terms of quantity and quality and to reduce the mill's energy costs.

An AHEAD-1.5M crescent former tissue machine with a single layer headbox, single press configuration with suction pressure roll TT SPR1045, a 12 FT diameter Steel Yankee Dryer TT SYD-12FT and a reel section TT Reel-P will be supplied as a part of the deal.

The approach flow system, stock preparation plant, gas heated hood and steam and condensate system from Toscotec's associate Milltech, along with electrification and control system will also be included in the delivery.

The package will be completed with engineering and services which would include erection supervision, commissioning and training and start up assistance.

For a daily production of 125 tonnes both from dry and slush pulps, machine speed will be up to 1400 mpm with a trim width of 4200 mm.

Syasstroy's facility already has an AHEAD-1.5M tissue machine to replace the existing PM2 as well as two rewinders TT WIND-H (for PM2 and PM3 lines) that came on stream in 2010 and 2012, respectively.
