Blizzard has announced it’s going to be doling out miniature Orc statues to its most loyal World of Warcraft players.
The game studio says that anyone who has been playing the game since its launch will be eligible for the gift.
World of Warcraft launched in the US on November 23, 2004, soon followed by the European release on February 11, 2005.
Any person who joined up within sixty days of those dates in his or her respective region will bag the free goodie.
“As a way of thanking our loyal World of Warcraft players, we will send a physical gift to players who have been playing with us since the beginning,” wrote Blizzard on its forums.
Blizzard didn’t specifically reveal what the gift would be, but eligible user Smitti posted on the forums that he had received one.
The gift is a miniature version of the 12-foot statue that stands at Blizzard’s Californian HQ, depicting an Orc riding a frost-wolf.
Underneath the base, a message reads: “The Orc statue is a constant presence in our life at Blizzard entertainment. It’s where we meet to talk, to eat, to celebrate.”
“As we celebrate ten years of World of Warcraft, we present this token of appreciate to you, stalwart adventurer.”
“Thank you for being a constant presence in our lives as we adventure together.”

Such commitment to Warcraft didn’t come cheap however – 10 years of game subscription time equates to around £1200.
Bundle the pricing of the actual game plus expansions on top of that and you’re looking at an even heftier sum.
