Supplying electricity to all but four of Georgia's 159 counties, Georgia Power is stepping up their environmental impact by encouraging their 2.4 million consumers to join the ?"Change a Light, Change the World"?pledge.
"Small changes, like simply changing a light bulb, can have a huge impact on energy use and provide long term savings," said Michele Wagner, director of energy efficiency for Georgia Power. "We've supported this campaign year after year to reinforce our ongoing efforts to help our customers become more energy efficient, save money and help protect the environment."

Georgia Power customers can get involved by taking the pledge online via at www.georgiapower.com. ?The pledge card offers an opportunity to be a part of something bigger by educating?consumers about energy drainers within the home, offering incentives to switch them out and community recycling programs for outdated appliances and light bulbs.
