The Cracker Has a Capacity to Produce 450,000 Tons / Year of Ethylene

After a delay of around 13 days, a naphtha cracker owned by Japan-based JX Nippon Oil & Energy which underwent a turnaround, has restarted.

A JX Nippon company official informed fibre2fashion that the cracker which was shutdown for maintenance on August 13, was originally scheduled to be restarted on September 28.

"Due to technical problems, the restart had been delayed. However the naphtha cracker located in Kawasaki now has been restarted on October 11", he added.

The cracker has a capacity to produce 450,000 tons / year of ethylene and 280,000 tons / annum of propylene.
