An undisclosed US publicly funded health care insurance programs provider has expanded the use of Kofax solution to enhance medicare claims processing efficiencies.
Over $500,000 has been invested by the company to extend Kofax solution use for processing of medical claims and related correspondence, so as to significantly reduce labor costs and expediting claims payments.
The additional software is specifically used to increase the Medicare claims forms and related documents volume to 24 million per year, and other correspondence to 12 million documents per year.
Kofax Field Operations executive vice president Howard Dratler said the company automates document driven processes by capturing all health, patient or financial information at the point of entry, followed by transformation into actionable information in a secure and auditable manner.
''By accurately and more efficiently automating claims processes with Kofax solutions, insurance providers can realize bottom line benefits,'' Dratler added.
Headquartered in California, Kofax is a provider of smart capture enabled business process management (BPM) solutions.
