Eastside Distilling, a producer of crafted spirits in the US, is developing a new facility on Portland's Distillery Row.
To be spread over an area of around 41,000ft2, the facility will house a distillery for master crafted spirits which is said to be the largest of its type in the Pacific Northwest.
The proposed site, which will include advanced distilling, bottling and packaging systems, is expected to become operational in the second quarter of 2015.
When operational, the facility will increase Eastside's production capacity from about 6,400 cases annually to up to 1 million cases.
The facility will produce Eastside Distilling's complete range of spirits including Burnside Bourbon, Burnside Oregon Oaked Bourbon, Marionberry Whiskey, Cherry Bomb Whiskey, Portland Potato Vodka, Below Deck Silver Rum, Below Deck Coffee Rum, Below Deck Ginger Rum, and Below Deck Spiced Rum.
Commenting on the development, Eastside Distilling CEO Steven Earles said: "This new distillery and tasting room will reflect our passion for creating premium, master crafted spirits.
"It will provide the additional capacity needed for continued growth, as well as deliver favorable economies of scale as we expand."
