SBI Insurance is all set to deploy a new core system suite Guidewire InsuranceSuite, which will maintain the complete range of general insurance business processes, while enhancing its service offerings.
According to Guidewire Software, SBI is the first Japanese property/casualty insurer, who is implementing the new core system suite.
SBI Insurance Director Kazunosuke Fujioka said the company has maintained the delivery of customer-centric services as its vision since the company was founded.
"Guidewire Software's product vision is very close to our own. Guidewire Software(R) provides highly accomplished solutions and consulting services with the premise that, in the final analysis, we operate the system ourselves. The result is that we will be able to implement a system that meets our demands in terms of superior quality, agility and cost effectiveness," Fujioka said.
The system will enable the underwriter to manage its insurance businesses effectively with flexible and scalable system architecture, and offer new products that can compete with the other insurance players.
The new solution will carry all the work pertaining to the insurance such as rating, underwriting, policy administration, billing and claims management.
The suite has been developed on a modular approach, facilitating underwriters to choose an application from Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire ClaimCenter and Guidewire BillingCenter, according to their requirements.
