Xinjiang-based Guanghui Energy Co. Ltd announced on October 16 that it has signed with Gansu-based Chinese steelmaker Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group (JISCO) on October 12 to build a coal separation project in Jiujia, Gansu province within 2013.
Accordingly, project in question will be designed to separates coal in its gas, solid and liquid conditions and will collect its products. The annual capacity of the project is expected to reach 30 million mt. The first phase of the project will start operating in 2015. As current technology, 30 million mt coal can provide a total of 2.1 million mt of gasoline and diesel and 16.5 million mt of semi coke.
