British insurer Legal & General Group has selected SSP Select Connect for deployment in its general insurance business, to boost efficiency and customer service.
The underwriter said that it will integrate SSP Select Connect with its existing Insure/90 policy administration system, after a successful proof of concept, which will enhance its capabilities and streamline business processes.
Exclusively designed as a development toolkit, SSP Select Connect allows firms to deliver on-demand customer self-service through the internet, improve processes and offer a seamless upgrade path to a new platform.
Legal & General general insurance business COO Rob Regan said that SSP Select Connect will allow the company to achieve its business objectives.
SSP insurer division chief technology officer Kevin Gaut commented, "With mobile adoption and consumer expectations rising and the ease of comparison creating an unprecedented level of price transparency, delivering excellent customer service and driving down costs are key priorities for insurers.
"To achieve this, insurers need to continue to invest to enhance and modernise their core systems to ensure they have the flexibility they need to respond to market demands faster than ever before."
SSP Select Connect is the only tool that provides a range of Insure/90 specific customizable service templates for an array of business processes and inquiries including quotation, quote conversion, new business, cancellation, renewal, among others.
