Dansko LLC announced that the company's EVP of sales and marketing, David Murphy, will be retiring at the end of April. Murphy joined Dansko in 2006 and will continue to serve in his current role as director on the Dansko board of directors. Murphy's retirement will bring to a close an over 35 year career in the footwear industry, which also included leadership roles with Sperry Topsider, Sebago and Lowell.

Mandy Cabot, co-founder, president and CEO of Dansko said, "Over the past eight years, David has served as an integral member of the Dansko leadership team and I have the greatest respect and gratitude for his innumerable contributions. We wish him the most wonderful retirement and look forward to his continued role on the Dansko Board of Directors. Meantime, we will manage an orderly transition over the next few months".

Kitty Bolinger will be promoted to EVP sales from her current position of VP sales. In her new role, she will assume all sales management responsibility for Dansko, both US and International. Bolinger joined Dansko in 2010 following prior sales management positions at Timberland, Geox and Orthaheel.

Ebeth Pitman, VP marketing, will continue to lead all marketing activities for the brand. Prior to joining Dansko in 2007, Pitman was Marketing Communications Leader at W.L. Gore & Associates, with prior consumer brand management experience at both U.K. and U.S. based advertising agencies.

Going forward both Bolinger and Pitman will report directly to Mandy Cabot, Co-Founder, president and CEO.

"Dansko is always focused on sustainable business practices. Our succession planning has provided us with the continuity we desire," continued Cabot. "Both Kitty and Ebeth are proven, highly regarded executives in our industry and we look forward to their leadership in guiding our sales and marketing activities as we move forward."
