Avery Dennison Unveils New Automated Food Labelling Printing System

US-based Avery Dennison’s Printer and Fastener Solutions (PFS) division has introduced a new automated food labelling printing system, Monarch Freshmarx 9417+.

The Monarch Freshmarx 9417+, which is part of Avery Dennison’s food freshness labelling product portfolio, features a single or dual head printer with intuitive Freshmarx software and a touchscreen interface.

Designed to provide an integrated solution for foodservice sector, the system can improve label precision and accuracy, the company said.

Avery Dennison printer and fastener solutions global vice-president Erik Shafer said: “The Monarch Freshmarx 9417+ Solution is an easy-to-use, automated system that takes a majority of the guesswork out of food safety through precise, efficient and responsible technology.

“We are proud to launch the new industry benchmark, which allows us to protect customers across the globe while simultaneously providing advanced technology that improves operational efficiencies.”

Additional features of the system include a built-in wall mount for eye-level operation and workspace optimization.

The company also noted that moisture resistant Monarch Freshmarx 9417+ solution supports 15 languages and dual language operator screens for smooth bilingual foodservice operations.

Capable of creating barcode labels for inventory or point of sale (POS) scanning, the system also features 21 standard label formats and an EcoCapacity+ Thin Liner, a label material designed to reduce environmental impact.

Avery Dennison said it has partnered with Applied Data to install the new automated food labelling printing system into current kitchen standards and future applications.
