Menasha Packaging is doubling the space at its preprint unit at Neenah, Wisconsin, in the US, to accommodate a new flexographic printing press for preprinted linerboard.
The facility will add 45,500ft2 to its existing area of 94,000ft2.
Menasha had earlier announced that it had bought a second Bobst Central Impression Flexographic 90SIX Printing Press, expected to be operational by March 2016. The machine, being the second one of its kind in its production facilities network, is said to offer minimum downtime and maximum efficiency.
Menasha PrePrint general manager Roger Ver Voort said: "After experiencing exponential demand for Menasha's flexographic printing services, we chose to expand the preprint facility in Neenah in order to maximize efficiencies and optimize our customers' supply chains.
"We are excited to be able to provide faster turnaround time for our current customers, while increasing capacity for future growth."
Menasha Packaging offers its clients the services of graphic consumer packaging, merchandising solutions, corrugated packaging, food packaging, shipping containers, material handling solutions, pack-out and fulfillment.
Its preprint unit undertakes packaging and display services.
