The Industrial Price Index (IPRI) for textiles increased by 0.6 percent year-on-year in June 2013, according to the data released by the National Statistics Institute (INE).
In the making of garments, the IPRI showed a decline of 1.3 percent during the month.
The manufacturing industry, which includes manufacturing of textiles and clothing, recorded a 0.8 percent rise during the month under review.
Overall, the annual rate of the IPRI stood at 1.3 percent in June, almost seven-tenths higher than that registered in May.
IPRI measures the monthly change in prices of industrial products manufactured and sold. The index measures ex-factory selling prices that do not include expenses incurred on marketing, transportation and value-added tax (VAT).
