The Holiday/Resort 14 Los Angeles Fashion Market took place at the California Market Center (CMC) from August 4-7. Exhibitors from Fashion Market Temporaries and the abbreviated edition of Transit LA Shoe Show reported an increase in traffic from the last August LA Fashion Market. While showrooms throughout the CMC, especially those showing Spring 15 collections, saw a rise in the number of orders placed during an August Market.
"International Brands in America & Perlmanrep represent European based brands like Desigual, Louie et Lucie, Darling, Alice's Pig, Orion At'eed, Dex and Beautiful Stories," said David Perlman. "These brands already had Spring 15, so it was important for us to show early. Our number from last Augusts more than doubled."
Key buyers and stores that attended the Show included Kitson on Robertson, London Boots, Lulu's Boutique, Piperlime, Four Seasons Hotel Beverly/Wilshire, Atelier Femme, Alandrea, Posh Boutique, Brigade LA, LF Stores, Dahlia Boutique, Kacee Collection, Clover, and hundreds more.
New to the CMC, Cyril Bonnan, of French denim brand, Skylton Paris, received positive feedback from guests and buyers about showing their 58 different luxury denim styles during the Fashion Show during on Monday night. "The show was really successful. It was a great opportunity for us to show the spirit of Skylton and our different styles with a great Runway Show in such a historical famous fashion building as the California Market Center," said Bonnan.
Additionally, exhibitors at Temporaries and TRANSIT reported traffic from buyers walking through the Lobby. Pete Julienne, of Nomad Footwear, exhibits at every TRANSIT Show. "The Show may be smaller in August, but we received a lot of main floor, walk-through traffic," said Julienne. "We are happy with our sales."
SELECT Contemporary Tradeshow & the full TRANSIT Shoe Show will return to LA Fashion Market, Monday - Wednesday, Oct 13-15, 2014. Spring 15 LA Fashion Market will take place Sunday - Wednesday, October 12-15, 2014.
