Indiana-based injection molding firm Tomken Plastic has moved its operations to a 15,000 ft2 plant by adding equipment and a forecasted increase in the number of employees.
TomKen general manager Bruce Carmichael said they were running out of space and would not grow without an expansion.
The new facility has an automated material handling system and automation equipment for its presses of 310-ton and 1,100-ton clamping force, respectively, with a 720-ton press, the largest among existing ones.
TomKen was established in 1960 and has 46 employees with plans of adding another six.
