In 2012 Russia's Ferrous Metal Exports Increased by 10.4 Percent Year on Year

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in 2012 Russia's ferrous metal exports increased by 10.4 percent year on year to 39.024 million mt, including 4.1 million mt of pig iron, down 3.3 percent year on year. The total value of Russia's ferrous metal exports in 2012 was $22.572 billion, up 2.7 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the given period Russia registered an 11 percent increase year on year in its ferrous metal imports to 6.4 million mt, with a total value of $6.261 billion.
